Antonine Maillet

Antonine Maillet (born May 10,1929) is a Canadian Acadian novelist, playwright, and scholar. She was born in Bouctouche, New Brunswick and lives in Montreal, Quebec. In 1979 her work Pélagie-la-Charette won the prestigious Prix Goncourt.
