Aurora, OntarioAurora (2001 population 40,167) is a town located roughly 40 kilometres north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The town was first settled in 1854 when the junction of Yonge Street and a new railway proved to be an ideal settlement. Aurora was incorporated as a town in 1888. Many Aurora residents now commute to Toronto, and the town is part of the Greater Toronto Area.\n
