Automake

Automake is a computer tool that produces makefiles for use by the make program, used in compiling software. It is made by the Free Software Foundation as one of GNU programs.

Automake is part of GNU build system.

It is written in Perl, a programming language and commonly used with autoconf, another GNU tool.
