Biotheology

Biotheology, also known as neurotheology, is the scientific study of the evolutionary, neurological and psychological structures for the cognitive experiences of spiritual awe, oneness with the universe, ecstatic trance, sudden enlightenment and other altered states of consciousness that are the basis for many religious beliefs and behaviors.
