Discord

From The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition: a. Lack of agreement among persons, groups, or things. b. Tension or strife resulting from a lack of agreement; dissension. c. A confused or harsh sound or mingling of sounds. d. Music. An inharmonious combination of simultaneously sounded tones; a dissonance.

In the television series Xena: Warrior Princess, Discord is the daughter of Zeus and Hera. She joins her brother. Ares, in his quest to destroy Hercules. She was killed by Xena.

Discord are also a band from Caherdavin in Limerick city, Ireland. The band members are Adrian O'Regan, John Burrowes, Rory O'Dwyer, Adrian De Cléir and the infamous Martin Garcia Mortell. Their original music includes the tracks The Colour Of Winter, Sentence I Rise, 'Till The Last Breath, (Treacherous) Mother Kürsk and The Affliction.
