District of Durrės The District of Durrės (Albanian: Rrethi i Durrėsit) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania. It has a population of 182,000 (2004 estimate), and an area of 455 km2. It is in the west of the country, and its capital is Durrės. Other towns in this district include Shijak.
