Districts of Luxembourg

Administratively Luxembourg is divided into three districts, which are subdivided into cantonss: \n#Diekirch (district)\n#*Diekirch\n#*Clervaux\n#*Redange\n#*Vianden\n#*Wiltz\n#Grevenmacher (district)\n#*Grevenmacher\n#*Echternach\n#*Remich\n#Luxembourg (district)\n#*Luxembourg\n#*Capellen\n#*Esch-sur-Alzette\n#*Mersch The cantons were created in the early 1840s. In 1857 the district of Mersch was created from the cantons of Mersch and Redange, but it was abolished in 1967.
