Fair Antigua, We Salute Thee

Fair Antigua, We Salute Thee is the national anthem of Antigua and Barbuda. Written by Novelle Hamilton Richards and composed by Walter Garnet Picart Chambers, it was adopted upon independence in 1967. God Save the Queen is still the Royal anthem Fair Antigua, we salute thee!
\nProudly we this anthem raise
\nTo thy glory and thy beauty,
\nJoyfully we sing the praise
\nOf the virtues, all bestowed
\nOn thy sons and daughters free;
\nEver striving, ever seeking,
\nDwell in love and unity. Raise the standard! Raise it boldly!
\nAnswer now to duty's call
\nTo the service of thy country,
\nSparing nothing, giving all;
\nGird your loins and join the battle
\n'Gainst fear, hate and poverty,
\nEach endeavouring, all achieving,
\nLive in peace where man is free. God of nations, let Thy blessings
\nFall upon this land of ours;
\nRain and sunshine ever sending,
\nFill her fields with crops and flowers;
\nWe her children do implore Thee,
\nGive us strength, faith, loyalty,
\nNever failing, all enduring
\nTo defend her liberty. \n\nCategory:Antigua and Barbuda\nCategory:National anthems
