FlemingsFlemings are inhabitants of Flanders, the northern half of Belgium. \nTheir native language is officially called Dutch.\nThough they speak the same language as the Dutch, the 'Flemish' version of it is quite different in usage (comparable to American vs. British english) and even more so in intonation. A Fleming can easily spot a Dutchman even when speaking a mere sentence. While language and culture may partially overlap with the Dutchmen living in the Netherlands, especially the southern part called Zeeuws-Vlaanderen (Zeelandish-Flanders), they are a distinctly different people with a different culture and would take offence at being called Dutchmen.
