Flyswatter

flyswatter is hand-held device for swatting flies and other insects. It usually consists of a small square (about 4 inches across) of lightweight, flexible, vented material such as material that a window screen might be made of, attached to a lightweight wire or plastic handle about 2 feet long. This allows someone bothered by flies to smack them quickly when they land on a wall or other solid surface, the venting allowing the swatter to move quickly through the air.\n----\nAlso, Flyswatter is the name of a demo album recorded in 1993 by the group Blink-182 when it was known simply as "Blink". They changed their name to Blink-182 because an Irish techno band was already called blink. The recording, made in the drummer's bedroom, was done live and involved no mixing or dubbing. It was available for a while, but it had very bad quality and it was not popular.
