Half-Life: Blue ShiftHalf-Life: Blue Shift is the second expansion pack for the first-person shooter computer game Half-Life, developed by Gearbox Software and released on June 12, 2001. Like Opposing Force, Blue Shift returns to the original story but this time with the player in a different role as a Black Mesa Research Facility security guard (the ubiquitous Barney Calhoun). As the guard, the player attempts to escape the alien invasion caused by the resonance cascade and the military coverup that ensues. Blue Shift, released years after Half-Life, also featured the "Half-Life HD Pack" that provided improved graphics, including higher detail textures and models. Opposing Force was also bundled into the Blue Shift expansion.External link\n* Sierra's Blue Shift site Category:Half-Life |
