K. A. Applegate

K.A. Applegate is the author of the Animorphs, Remnants, and Everworld book series.\nKatherine Alice Applegate was born in Michigan in 1956. Since then she has lived in Texas, Florida, California, and Minnesota. She currently lives in Chicago, Illinois Applegate's favorite genres are science fiction, fantasy, and adventure. She has won the Best New Children's Book series in 1997 in Publishers Weekly. Applegate plays the cello and fortunately lives in a sound-proofed building. She has two cats, one of them is named Dick. She has a son named Jake, although she says the Animorph leader isn't his namesake.
