KLM Cityhopper

KLM Cityhopper is the regional arm of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. The code KLc is used for the Cityhopper operations, which fly from Schipol International Airport. KLM uk and KLM Cityhopper were once separate entities, but KLM Cityhopper has now swallowed the operations of KLM uk. Several of KLM's internal European routes are operated by both KLM and KLM Cityhopper, depending on the day of the week and the time of year. For example, flight KL1273 from Amsterdam Schiphol to Nice is currently operated by KLM during the months of daylight saving time, and KLM Cityhopper for the rest of the year. A significant difference between the two airlines on flights such as these is that KLM Cityhopper offers a free broadsheet newspaper and alcoholic beverages to all passengers, whereas with KLM these facilities are only available to passengers travelling in business class (this is only true of KLM on short-haul European flights; it has not always been the case and may change in the future). KLM Cityhopper flies a fleet of Fokker F50's, F70's and F100's.
