LAKAS

LAKAS is the ruling political party of the Philippines. Its full name is the LAKAS Christian-Muslim Democrats (LAKAS-CMD) and was formerly known as LAKAS National Union of Christian Democrats–Community of Muslim Democrats of the Philippines (LAKAS-NUCD-CMDP). The current President of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is a member of the party as well as former president Fidel V. Ramos. It holds 86 seats of the 215 in the House of Representatives. It is against PDP, Bangon Pilipinas, PMP, CNU, Patriots, Coalition of Hope, BAYAN MUNA, SANLAKAS, etc.
