Mer Hayrenik

Mer Hayrenik (Our Fatherland) is the national anthem of Armenia.\nAdopted on July 1, 1991, it is based on the anthem of the First Armenian Republic (1918-1920), but with different lyrics. It is written by poet Mikael Nalbandian (1829-1866) and composed by Barsegh Kanachyan (1885-1967).

\nՄեր Հայրենիք Մեր Հայրենիք, ազատ, անկախ
\nՈր ապրէլ է դարէ դար
\nԻւր որդիքը արդ կանչում էն
\nԱզատ, անկախ Հայաստան։ Ահա՝ եղբայր, քեզ մի դրօշ,
\nԶոր իմ ձեռքով գործէցի
\nԳիշերները ես քուն չեղայ,
\nԱրտասուքով լուացի։ Նայիր նրան երեք գոյնով,
\nՆուիրական մէկ նշան,
\nԹող փողփողի բշնամու դէմ,
\nԹող միշտ պանծայ Հայաստան։ Ամենայն տեղ մահը մի է
\nՄարդ մի անգամ պիտ՚ մեռնի,
