PachacutiPachacutec was an Incan emperor. Pachacutec means earthquake, cataclysm, or he who turns the world upside down. Cusi Yupanqui was the name of Pachacutec, before he proclaimed himself a ruler. Pachacutec was seen in two different lights. Some belive him to be the savior of the Incan Empire, while others see his as an arrogant and disobedient youth who stole the crown from his predecessor, Viracocha. Many people believe that Pachacutec was the first great leader when it comes to leading his people in war and conquering new land to expand the empire. He was a great leader, because he changed the military program into a more organized and expansive one. Pachacutec was an arrogant person, but that is what made others fear him. He really made a change in the Incan Empire by expanding the land and by focusing the power in his hands. Every great leader that made a name in history was somewhat an arrogant, selfish human being, but this is what made them crave victory and the importance of changing and shaking things around. Pachacutec was one of those leaders. Category:Inca emperors |
