\nPadauk (or padouk) is Indonesian name for a tree Pterocarpus indicus, found in the tropics of southeast Asia, with a red wood with an etiolated or sometimes striped black grain. It is also known as Narra, a national tree in the Philippines, or as Burmese Rosewood (Thailand).\nThe wood, known in Indonesia as amboyna, is used mainly for decoration and in making of furniture and keys on a Marimba.
