Pará
Pará is one of the
states of
Brazil, located in the northern part of the country. \nNeighboring states are (from north clockwise)
Amapá,
Maranhão,
Tocantins,
Mato Grosso,
Amazonas and
Roraima. To the north it also borders
Guyana and
Suriname (including the district named
Para).

Geography
\nPará has a territory covered mostly by jungle, covering a vast area of Amazon Rainforest.
History
\nThe state was place for several rebellions during colonial times (see History of Brazil).
