Platform

The word platform is used in several different contexts including various topics:\n* In rail transport, a railway platform is an area at a train station to alight from/embark on trains or trams.\n* In politics, a political platform is a list of principles held by a political party to appeal to the public.\n* In computing and technology, a platform refers to a framework on which applications may be run. See platform (computing). The term may occasionally refer to a platform game, a type of computer game.\n* An oil platform is a structure built for oil production.\n* In the context of automobiles, an automobile platform is a set of components shared by several vehicle models.
