Bahá'u'lláh, in His Motherbook (the Kitáb-i-Aqdas) prescribes the obligatory prayers; designates the time and period of fasting; prohibits congregational prayer except for the dead; and fixes the Qiblih.
When praying obligatory prayers the members of the Bahá'í Faith should facing in the direction of the Qiblih. It is a fixed requirement for the recitation of obligatory prayer, but for other prayers and devotions one may follow what the merciful Lord hath revealed in the Qur'án: "Whichever way ye turn, there is the face of God."
