Raymond Briggs

Raymond Briggs (born 1934) is a British illustrator and author. He was born in London and has achieved critical and popular success among adults and children.

His most well-known works include:

• The Snowman, a book which was made into a cartoon shown every year on British television
• Fungus the Bogeyman
• When the Wind Blows, a tale of an elderly couple from the English countryside, who survive a nuclear war.
