Reaper ManReaper Man is a Discworld novel by Terry Pratchett. Published in 1987, it is the 11th Discworld novel and the second to focus on Death. Synopsis: This novel takes place BEFORE the events in Mort, although it was written several years later. The Auditors, the group of guys, who are watching the Discworld from above to control everything is going some kind of way, they probably themselves don't know. As Death starts developing more and more of a personality the Auditors feel that he does not serve dead people the right way anymore.\nThey send him off with his own golden hourglas and his scythe to live like everyone else. Now called "Bill Door" he tries to work as a helper on a farm. On the Discworld meanwhile things go out of order. While every species thinks of a new Death for themselves in seconds, humans need time. Therefore the dead don't stay dead but keep on walking on the streets. \nWhen they finally think of a new Death, now with crown and without any humanity, Bill Door returns to fight him to take back his place...
