Robert Smith (musician)\n Robert Smith (Robert James Smith) Guitarist, Vocalist (born April 21, 1959) is the driving force behind The Cure, an English band generally described as goth, but considered by many as difficult to classify into one genre. Smith has written or co-written the bulk of the group's music and lyrics in a career spanning 25 years. He has also been involved in other musical side-projects, most notably playing guitar in Siouxsie and the Banshees (1979-84). His hair is legendary. His lyrics are often haunting and could be better described as poetry set to music. Smith married Mary Poole in 1988. The song Love Song was written as a wedding present for Mary.Discography\n*The Demo Album (1978)\n*Three Imaginary Boys (1979)\n*Boys Don't Cry (1979)\n*Seventeen Seconds (1980)\n*Faith (1981)\n*Happily Ever After American Edition (1981)\n*Pornography (1982)\n*Japanese Whispers Compilation (1983)\n*The Top (1984)\n*Concert - The Cure live & Curiosity (1984)\n*Head on the Door (1985)\n*Standing on the beach Compilation 1979-1985 (1986)\n*Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me (1987)\n*Disintegration (1989)\n*Mixed Up Remixes (1990)\n*Entreat Live Disintegration (1990)\n*Wish (1992)\n*Show Live (1992)\n*Paris Live (1992)\n*Wild Mood Swings (1996)\n*Galore Compilation 1987-1997 (1997)\n*Bloodflowers (2000)\n*Join The Dots B-Sides & Rarities 1978-2001 (2004)\n*The Cure (2004) See Gothic Rock for more info.
