Ron Carter

Ron Carter (born May 4, 1937) is a jazz bassistist. He came to fame via the most famous of the Miles Davis quintets of the early 1960s with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and the 17 year-old Tony Williams. His playing is an integral part in the alternative hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest's influential album Low End Theory.
