Roskilde UniversityRoskilde University (Danish: Roskilde Universitetscenter, RUC), a Danish state university founded in 1972 in Roskilde. It is a modern university providing higher education in the form of bachelor and master degrees as weel as Ph.D levels. In the 1970's the university was known for its very free eduction as opposed to the usual lectures provided by the more old fashioned universities of Copenhagen and Århus. Today the university is not as free as in the 1970's, however, it is still one of the most modern universities giving the students more influence on the planning of the teaching than most other Danish universities. Graduates from Roskilde University are generally among the most wanted in the business community due to their skills in planning and teamwork besides their major.
