\nRotorua is a city and a lake located in the Bay of Plenty in the North Island of New Zealand. It is best known for geothermal activity in the area, with a number of geysers and hot mud pools located in the city.
The city is located south of Tauranga, 105 km south-east of Hamilton and 82 km north-east of Taupo.
