Royal Military PoliceRoyal Military Police are known in the \nBritish forces as the "Redcaps" because they \nwear a peaked cap (or sometimes a beret) in \nred colour. The lowest rank of a military \npoliceman is a Corporal (so they out-rank the \ncommon British soldier). They have a reputation \nof being "hard" men. The uniformed military police perform all the \nduties of their civilian counterparts. The \nplain-clothes military police is the S.I.B. - \nthe Special Investigations Branch. |
