Sabrina, the Teenage WitchSabrina, the Teenage Witch is a fictional comic book character, and more recently, a US sitcom. The history of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch begins in October, 1962, when her character appeared in Archie's Madhouse #22, published by Archie Comics. December, 1969 brought the first issue of another comic book, Archie's TV Laugh Out, in which Sabrina was one of the leading characters. In September, 1971, Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, the Saturday morning animated series, premiered on CBS. She also made guest appearances on another animated series, The Groovy Ghoulies.
Sabrina the Teenage Witch was a Showtime TV movie about a teenage girl Sabrina Spellman who was sent to live with her two aunts only to find out that she was a witch. Melissa Joan Hart was cast for the main role in 1994, and the movie was released in 1996. The two aunts were played by Sherry Miller (Hilda) and Charlene Fernetz (Zelda).
Sabrina, the Teenage Witch subsequently became a television series which lasted for seven seasons (until 2003). Melissa Joan Hart continued playing Sabrina in the sitcom; the aunts were Caroline Rhea (Hilda) and Beth Broderick (Zelda). Among the regulars were the cat Salem, voiced by Nick Bakay, and Sabrina's boyfriend Harvey, played by Nate Richert. Hart's real-life sister Emily played Amanda.
The series ended with Sabrina getting back together with her ex-boyfriend Harvey.
