Shoshone language

Shoshone is a Native American language. Shoshone speaking Native Americans occupied areas of Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and Idaho. They hunted, gathered, and fished for salmon. Horses arrived in the early 1700s allowing the Shoshone to hunt buffalo. Shoshone speaking tribes consisted of a loose affiliation of clans and groups. Each tribe occupied a specific area of land.
