Simon SchamaSimon Schama (born 1945) is University Professor at Columbia University and an eminent scholar of both history and art history. He is the author of numerous works on history and art, including Landscape and Memory, Dead Certainties, Rembrandt's Eyes, and his history of the French Revolution, Citizens. He is most famous for writing and hosting the 15-part BBC documentary series A History of Britain.
