Singular

When used as a simple adjective in English, singular usually means unique. The singular is one of two grammatical numbers in English; the other is the plural. In mathematics singular has a number of meanings

• A square matrix is called singular if it is not invertible.\n*In complex analysis, a singular point of a function f is a point such that ''f'\' is analytic in its neighbourhood but not at it. See mathematical singularity.\n*A measure or distribution is called singular if its support has zero Lebesgue measure. More generally, one may talk about an object "singular with respect to a measure μ", and that means that μ replaces the Lebesgue measure above.

SINGULAR is also the name of a computer algebra system. See also gravitational singularity. Singular (أَحَدٌ) is one of God's Names as described in Sura 112 in the Quran: "Say: He is Allah, Singular.
