Stone

Stone can refer to any of the following:

• A rock. See also stone skipping, curling.\n* As a verb, to stone, a method of execution using rocks, stoning.\n* A gemstone, as used in jewelry.\n* A unit of mass or weight equal to fourteen pounds.\n* The hard covering enclosing the seed of a drupe such as a peach.\n* As a verb, the intoxicating effects of cannabis, as in to be stoned.\n* A twentieth century mathematician, Marshall Harvey Stone.

Stone is also the name of several places in England, in the counties of Buckinghamshire, Gloucestershire, Kent, Staffordshire, and Worcestershire.
