Student Developed Education PolicyThe Center for Student Developed Education Policy (CeSDEP) was created to help students get assistance from their peers in developing new policies, rules, regulations, and customs in their primary and secondary public schools in the United States of America. The Mission Statement of the CeSDEP says "The Center for Student Developed Education Policy... will maintain a web site that will help students develop new and old policies for their primary and secondary public schools." The website offers a losely structured step based process to help students make policy changes. While focused on local policy, CeSDEP offers communication channels to aid organization of major events that will try to change regional and national education policy. Currently the site offers customized, one on one plan development through it's moderated Slashdot like story/response system, which recognizes that each student and school needs their own solutions. As of 31 March 2004], just two months after it's founding, it is not successful.\nRelated Articles\nStudent activism\nMeaningful student involvement\nStudent voice |
