TabgachTabgach was a central Asian name for China, derived from Tuoba (拓跋), a powerful Xianbei tribe.\nAlso the byname for the Tang Empire in Tangri Bilge's Orkhon inscriptions.\nAt that time China was dominated by half-Xianbei and half-Chinese people. The Turkish khan bashed the Tabgach for being content with sedentary life. Later, a Kara-Khanid sultan of Kashgari was given the name Tabgach Mahmoud. |
