Tchin-Tabaraden

Located in Azawagh region, north to the departement city of Tahoua, Niger, the town of Tchin Tabaraden is the market center for the Iwellemindan Tuareg. In this town and also in Abalagh in the vicinty began in 1985, the first insurrectional mouvement claiming for the autonomy of Tenere, the Tuareg region in central-north and western Niger. In neighboring oasis of In-Gall is held every year the Cure Salee event, the festival of the nomades.
