Twin (mythology)In virtually all the mythology of the world, the Twin represents some "other" aspect of the Self, a doppelganger in some way. Often the twin is the Evil Twin, or one may be human and one semi-divine.In myth, the twin may be a brother, or a soul-mate, such as the "civilized" Gilgamesh and the "wild" Enkidu. See also the mythic twins Castor and Pollux, Amphion and Zethus of Thebes, and Romulus and Remus of Rome.Gemini
