Ulcer

An ulcer - latin: ulcus - is an open sore of the skin or mucous membrane, often caused by an initial abrasion and generally maintained by infection. Specific types:\n*peptic ulcer (of the stomach or duodenum)\n*mouth ulcer\n*pressure ulcer (decubitus)\n*crural ulcer (due to venous insufficiency or other causes)
