Urfa

Urfa or Urhai or Edessa is a city in south eastern Turkey identified as the original Ur of the Khaldis mentioned in Genesis where Abram was born. To the Arabs it was known as Ar-Ruha and to the Greeks it was Orra.

The current name ist Sanliurfa.
