Yue

Yue (粵) is the name given to an area of China now known as Guangdong and Guangxi. It is also a subdivision of spoken Chinese, which is called Cantonese by linguists, and includes the local dialects of Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Taishan and Siyi. ("Cantonese" is also used to refer to just the language of Guangzhou and Hong Kong.)

Yuè is also an abbreviation for the Guangdong province of the People's Republic of China.
